May, a cheerful and bright 8-year-old girl, had a dream. She wasn’t asking for the latest toy, a trip to an amusement park, or a big birthday party. All she wanted was a puppy.

May had always loved animals, especially dogs. She admired how they were loyal, playful, and full of love. At school, her friends would talk about their dogs, sharing stories of walks in the park, cuddles on cold nights, and the joy of having a furry companion. It was a dream she nurtured every day.

But her parents were a bit more cautious. “You have to be responsible,” her father would say. “A dog is a big commitment. It needs love, care, and attention every single day.”
